Quality Process
Every order at Factorem runs through a documented quality system — specification verification, standardized inspection, and full traceability — not just on first articles, but on every production batch.

Supplier Standards
Every supplier in our network is assessed and continuously monitored — not just onboarded and forgotten.
Suppliers are assessed on ISO 9001 certification as a baseline. AS9100-capable suppliers are designated for defense and aerospace orders requiring that standard.
We evaluate manufacturing facilities and equipment capabilities before matching a supplier to your order — ensuring the right process and precision capability for your specific requirements.
Supplier performance is tracked on every order — not just at onboarding. Customer feedback directly impacts supplier standing in our network, creating accountability on every batch.
On Every Order
Applied systematically — from your first upload to the parts arriving at your door.
Your design is reviewed against your specifications before production begins. AI flags tolerance conflicts and DFM issues — impossible geometries, thin walls, deep pockets — before an engineer confirms the order is ready to manufacture.
Uniform quality checks are applied across all network partners. Every order is manufactured to ISO 2768 tolerances and GD&T principles — ensuring consistent results regardless of which supplier executes the work.
Parts are inspected using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for 3D dimensional verification, optical comparators and vision systems for 2D feature analysis, surface roughness testers (Ra/Rz), and calibrated gauges and custom fixtures.
Complete records are maintained throughout production. Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports provide full traceability from raw material to delivered part.
The goal is preventing defects, not catching them late. DFM analysis and precise supplier matching reduce defect risk before manufacturing starts. Customer feedback on every order feeds directly into supplier performance evaluation.
Documentation
Full traceability from raw material to delivered part — not just a packing slip.
Dimensional verification of the first part against your drawing. Confirms the production setup is correct before the full batch runs.
Available on request
Declares that parts conform to your specified requirements. Includes order details, material, process, and applicable standards met.
Standard with every order
Certifies the material used, including heat/lot number, chemical composition, and mechanical properties — traceable from mill to finished part.
Standard with every order
ISO 9001:2015, verified by TÜV SÜD, means every order follows a documented quality management system — not just a badge on a website. This includes specification verification before production, standardized inspection protocols, and complete traceability documentation shipped with your parts.
Yes. Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports are available on request for precision orders. We also provide First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and Material Test Reports (MTRs) as standard documentation.
First article inspection is completed and approved before production runs begin. We verify the first part matches your specifications exactly, then maintain the same quality protocols across the full batch — so your production run matches your first article.
Standard documentation includes a Certificate of Conformance (CoC) and Material Test Report (MTR). First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and CMM reports are available on request for precision orders.
AS9100 capability exists within our supplier network, particularly for defense and aerospace customers. All suppliers are assessed on their certifications, facilities, and performance before and during engagement.
Parts that fail inspection are not shipped. Quality issues trigger an investigation and directly impact supplier performance evaluation. Our defect-prevention focus — DFM review and manufacturer matching upfront — means the vast majority of issues are caught before production, not after.
