What We Make
From avionics enclosures to structural brackets — precision aerospace hardware with full material traceability and MIL-SPEC finishes.

Custom geometry
Airframe brackets, sensor mounts, electronic bay panels, custom test fixtures — upload a STEP file and our engineering team will review and quote within 24–48 hours.
Upload for reviewWhy Aerospace Orders Fail
Commercial machine shops rarely understand aerospace documentation requirements or MIL-SPEC finish standards. These are the failure modes that result.
Aerospace programs require AMS-specification material certifications and full Certificates of Conformance for every part. A supplier who sources to commercial grade — not AMS — creates traceability gaps that fail audits and delay program schedules.
MIL-A-8625 Type II and Type III specify precise coating thickness, alloy class, and seal requirements that commercial anodize shops routinely miss. Wrong finish type — even on the correct material — causes rejection at receiving inspection and requires full rework.
Aerospace parts optimised for weight often have 0.5–1mm walls that distort during machining, causing tolerance stack-up in the final assembly. Shops that machine without the right fixturing strategy deliver parts that are in-spec on the machine and out-of-spec in the assembly.
Our Process
From STEP file to delivered part — with aerospace-specific engineering review and full documentation at every stage.
STEP, IGES, or 2D drawing accepted. Include material specification (AMS grade), surface finish callouts, and any assembly context. Quote returned within 24–48 hours. NDA available on request.
Your engineer reviews AMS material specification, MIL-SPEC finish requirements, thin-wall fixturing strategy, and tolerance achievability — before a single chip is cut. Issues are flagged and resolved upfront.
We confirm AMS alloy grade, MIL-SPEC finish type and thickness, and any special requirements before order confirmation. All specifications documented in the work order — no assumptions passed to the shop floor.
3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining with in-process dimensional checks. CMM inspection on critical features. MIL-SPEC finish verified at source — coating thickness and alloy class confirmed before shipment.
Material Test Report (MTR to AMS spec), Certificate of Conformance, dimensional inspection report, and surface finish certification ship with every order. 12-day standard lead time. First Article Inspection reports on request.
"Factorem's DFM review flagged a MIL-SPEC finish specification issue before we went to production — saving us a full rework cycle. The material documentation they provide passes our receiving inspection without any back-and-forth."

FAQ
No. Factorem manufactures commercial aerospace and defense components under EAR99 and equivalent regulations only. We do not manufacture ITAR-controlled hardware or defense articles listed on the US Munitions List (USML).
We work with AL 6061, AL 7075, Ti-6Al-4V, SS 17-4 PH, SS 316L, Invar 36, and engineering polymers. All structural materials are sourced to AMS specifications with full material traceability documentation.
Yes. Every aerospace order ships with a Material Test Report (MTR) to AMS specification, a Certificate of Conformance, and a dimensional inspection report. First Article Inspection reports are available on request.
We supply MIL-A-8625 Type II and Type III hard anodize, MIL-DTL-5541 chromate conversion coating, passivation, electroless nickel, and black anodize. Our DFM review specifies the correct finish type and thickness for your alloy and application.
We hold tolerances to ±0.005mm on critical bore and flatness features for avionics enclosures, optical housings, and interface plates. Structural brackets are typically ±0.01mm. Tighter tolerances are reviewed case-by-case during DFM.
Factorem holds ISO 9001:2015 certification (TÜV SÜD). Our vetted supplier network includes AS9100-capable facilities for aerospace-grade quality requirements. Documentation of supplier certification is available on request.
